What you own,proven.

A collection is only as protected as its paperwork. We assemble yours into a single, insurance-ready dossier — every piece scheduled, every document accounted for, every gap named — prepared quietly and delivered to you alone.

Fixed fees. A limited number of commissions are accepted each month.

Most fine collections are insured on a guess, documented in a drawer, and proven only after something goes wrong. A dossier changes the order of events.

The Method

Four steps. Nothing left to memory.

You send what you have — however disordered. We return it organised, verified against the documents you provided, and benchmarked against public market data.

i.

Commission

Choose the commission that fits your collection and check out securely. Your private upload link appears the moment payment completes.

ii.

Submission

Upload photographs, receipts, certificates, service records and serial numbers through your private, encrypted upload page. Partial records are expected.

iii.

Preparation

Each piece is catalogued, its paper trail reconstructed into a timeline, missing documents identified, and recent comparable sales gathered with sources.

iv.

Delivery

Your dossier arrives on the same private page as a bound PDF with an item schedule in spreadsheet form, ready for your broker, insurer or estate counsel. Your uploaded files are deleted automatically 30 days later.

The Dossier

Everything an underwriter asks for. In the order they ask.

  1. Schedule of itemsA clean, numbered register of every piece: maker, reference, serial, materials, condition notes and photographs.
  2. Individual item recordsOne page per piece, with identifying marks, accompanying documents, and the evidence behind each detail.
  3. Provenance timelinesAcquisition, servicing, certification and ownership events, dated and tied to the document that supports them.
  4. Documentation auditA plain checklist of what is present, what is missing, and how to obtain it — box, papers, certificates, invoices.
  5. Market referencesRecent public comparable sales and listings for each piece, with sources cited, to inform a conversation with your insurer or appraiser.
  6. Spreadsheet scheduleThe same register as an editable file, formatted for insurance schedules and estate inventories.
Commissions

Fixed fees. No percentage of value, ever.

We are paid for the work, not for what your collection is worth — so our references carry no incentive to inflate.

The
Dossier
Standard

If it falls short, we make it right — or return your fee.

If any element of your dossier falls short of the scope described for your commission, we correct it at no charge. If you remain unsatisfied within 14 days of delivery, we refund the commission in full. No forms, no argument.

Intake policy: we accept no more than 12 new commissions per calendar month so that every dossier is quality-checked before delivery. When the month is full, checkout reopens on the first of the next month. Delivery times run from the day your materials are complete.

Discretion

What you own is no one else's business.

An inventory of valuables is among the most sensitive documents a household holds. We treat it accordingly.

Minimal

We ask only for what the work requires.

No home address is needed to prepare a dossier. Location details are optional and never placed in shared files.

Encrypted

Encrypted in transit and at rest.

Files are exchanged through a private, encrypted upload page unique to your commission — never by ordinary email attachment.

Ephemeral

Deleted on schedule.

Uploaded files are deleted automatically 30 days after delivery unless you ask us to retain them for your Annual Refresh.

Unshared

Never sold. Never published.

We do not sell, rent or share client data, and we never name clients or describe their collections — including in marketing.

Unbranded

Discreet by default.

Receipts and correspondence never describe your pieces. Nothing we send announces its contents.

Yours

Delivered to you alone.

Your finished dossier is available only through your private link, and our copy is deleted after 12 months. Whom it reaches next — broker, insurer, counsel — is your decision.

Please note

Not an appraisal.

A Collection Dossier is a documentation and organisation service. It is not a formal appraisal, authentication, or certification, and it is not prepared by a certified appraiser. Market references are compiled from public sources for information only and are not a statement of value.

We do not physically inspect items and we rely on the documents and images you provide. Where your insurer requires a formal appraisal, your dossier is designed to make that appraisal faster and less costly. Read the full disclaimer.

Questions

Asked, and answered.

How is this different from an appraisal?

An appraisal is a signed opinion of value by a credentialed appraiser, usually after physical inspection. A dossier is the organised record that surrounds it: what you own, how you can prove it, what is missing, and what comparable pieces have recently sold for. Many clients use their dossier to brief an appraiser — which typically shortens the engagement.

Will my insurer accept it?

Every insurer sets its own requirements. A dossier gives your broker the schedule, photographs, serials and supporting documents they typically request. If your policy requires a formal appraisal for scheduled items, the dossier does not replace it.

Why is intake limited?

Because every dossier is quality-checked before it is delivered, and we will not compromise that to take more work. We cap new commissions each month. If a collection falls outside what we can document well, we will say so before work begins and refund the fee in full.

What do I need to send?

Whatever you have: photographs (including serials and hallmarks where visible), purchase receipts, certificates, warranty cards, service records, auction lot pages, and any correspondence. Gaps are expected — identifying them is part of the work.

How is the work prepared?

We use specialised software, including AI tooling, to catalogue documents, reconstruct timelines and gather market references. Every dossier is then quality-checked against your source documents before delivery. We never present software output as expert opinion.

Do you ever see or handle the items?

No. We work only from images and documents. Your pieces never leave your possession.

What if I have more pieces than my tier allows?

Choose the commission that covers your count. Beyond 60 pieces, add a further commission for the remainder and mention it in the notes on your upload page; both are combined into a single dossier.

Can my family office or advisor commission on my behalf?

Yes. Whoever completes checkout receives the private upload link and the delivered dossier. By submitting materials they confirm they are authorised to act for the owner.
